Locating underground water lines
Encompass Inspections was contacted by a local company needing to locate underground water lines on a private farm.
How We Responded
A technician arrived on the jobsite in Grand Cane, LA within 48 hours of the project request. Once a jobsite walk was completed with the foreman, Encompass Inspections set out to locate and mark out all of the existing underground water lines from the riser in back of property. Underground water lines can be difficult to locate, but with Encompass Inspections ground penetrating radar systems, we were able to locate one line from mainline to two water tanks about 150ft onto property. A second water pipe was located from one water mainline connecting with another water main 300ft at the end of property line.
Results We Delivered
Encompass Inspections set out to identify if there was any additional water lines or other underground utilities present on the property, using Ground Penetrating Radar Scanning. Upon completing the ground scan the results were marked in pink paint and flags directly onto the surface allowing the onsite contact to perform their final analysis.
Encompass Inspections is able to locate even the most challenging of underground utility lines. By using cutting edge technology, we were able to save this client countless hours of guess work should they have tried to find the waterlines themselves.
